Community leaders in the RMG sector are true change-makers. Their commitment, passion, and leadership are driving transformative shifts within their communities. They serve as beacons of hope and progress, advocating for better working conditions, social standards, and improved quality of life. They’re proving that real transformation can come from the grassroots.
Our community leaders are basically 15 garment workers from different factories around the country. They work with us voluntarily to help their own community. We connect with them online to share our work process and what we want to achieve.
What makes these community leaders extraordinary is their voluntary commitment to the betterment of their communities. They devote their time and energy to lead initiatives that go beyond their daily work in the factories. Their motivation isn’t rooted in personal gain but rather in the collective welfare of their fellow garment workers.
We organized different training sessions for the community leaders to develop their public speaking and social media skills to become a successful leader in their communities. It enhances their skills and knowledge to become a better community leader.
The RMG sector often serves as the lifeblood of this community, providing employment and economic stability. Community leaders emerge organically, recognizing that they have a unique opportunity to be the voice of their peers. They intimately understand the challenges faced by factory workers and are driven to address these issues at the grassroots level.
